FINAL STAGE = BLOG

Imagen
Well, my experience with the blog was very strange. On the one hand, it is fun to learn how to write better in the little blog, I like it because there is not always the space to write about all the topics that we have dealt with in this semester, but on the other hand, I felt that I hesitated a lot when answering questions about my future career and although I'm finishing college (finally) are things that cost me to write or just distressed me for a moment haha. I like to read the blogs of my classmates, even though I don't know many of them because the pandemic generates that strange distance, I don't know many of them, but I enjoyed reading them. This is going to help me with my English, obviously I hope to improve a lot more. xoxo-

what would I change about my career?

hello everyone, today I will talk about my career which is visual arts and the university dynamics. in general it is a very flexible career, which requires different times depending on the type of artistic discipline you want to do, there are workshops that require a lot and others not. In this sense it is somewhat disorderly (but it doesn't bother me), there are workshops that are very separated from each other and therefore there is not much connection or relationship in general. infrastructure is a problem that has always existed in the faculty of arts, and it is a very complicated situation, one of these is that the workshops do not have the necessary tools to carry it, and things as basic as clean bathrooms(? or enough space in each workshop, I think the infrastructure is something that personally affects me a lot, but I am not surprised by the abandonment of resources and unfortunately it is an issue that affects us and the faculties of arts dance, theater and music. in gene...

The next step: graduate school

Imagen
A  few days ago i was very interested in where to study abroad and do a postgraduate degree in digital media art, and now i have thought about it more carefully and i would like to do it outside the country, i have thought about spain or brazil, they are places i would love to visit as well. The reason i would take the course is because i want to continue learning electronics and technology skills at a university. I have thought about participating in Ars Electronic, which is an event where artists who specialize in technology come to make works of art.       I would really like to be able to work with programming and Arduino and take it to such a massive event like that. If i had to study it would be in person and that's why i'm waiting to be able to travel without so many problems with the pandemic, i really hope it ends soon! :( and for now I'm saving for when the opportunity arises.  8-)

About my dream job

Imagen
I am an art student, i am in my last semester and i would love to be able to dedicate myself to what i studied, and when i think about this, i really spend hours thinking about what i will dedicate myself to.  Whenever I think about my future career, I always discard the idea of abandoning my career, although I know how difficult it is to work and live from art, especially when it comes to chile, a country that does not advocate art and culture. It's pretty bleak, but I hope to be able to get ahead anyway. There are two alternatives, I would love to be able to sell my work easily, it is my dream, and for this I need to be constant and responsible. My other job that I would love (but less possible) is to be able to work in an art institution, museum or gallery. And I think it's difficult because of the monopoly of art, it's quite sad and real. I would love to travel, when I think of working in the cultural area I also mean to meet other artists from other countries, as well ...

social revolt 18 oct.

Imagen
I love this picture Today is the second anniversary of the social explosion-revolt in chile since October 18/19, which marked forever the lives of those of us who lived through this critical moment. Remembering back, nobody imagined the social outburst, but there were already signs that it could be real. And when I look at this photograph I think that there was still no fear of what was to come months later (abuses, shots in the eyes, human rights violations). I took this picture on october 19 or 20, i don't remember well, since the days seemed the same; the streets of Alameda were full and the people were mobilized. This photograph shows Vicuña Mackenna street in a barricade intervention, the fire was so intense that i could not get too close, i remember that people were dancing and shouting all around, they were climbing in hidden places to raise their voices. This photograph generates a lot of feelings in me, i wonder how much has really changed after all. Injustice continues a...

I LOV CINEMA

Imagen
Cinema is another way to perceive our reality and also to build unimaginable realities. Since i was little i remember watching movies on vhs format and my father was a big star wars fan, so i grew up with all that imaginary. My favorite genre is science fiction, sci-fi or cyberpunk where it's perceived a futuristic life where the human being has gone beyond the natural limits towards a speciesist revolution thanks to technology. I love it, because I feel it is a very visionary genre. A movie that changed me forever was space odyssey, i remember watching it when i was a child because my father was a fan, and although i didn't understand it at first, when i grew up i understood what it was about: the evolution of the human being.                                 it's a movie of the famous director Stanley Kubrick, very experiential and with many soundscapes, i like this movie very much because itsn't only...

My best place in Chile: Puerto Natales

Imagen
I will never forget those vacations to puerto natales, never! It all happened very suddenly, my father wanted us to travel for a month, it was my first trip by plane, me and my twin and we were going to visit our friend Brenda. I remember looking out the window of the plane, everything was very small, lots of clouds and I remember the change of temperature when we arrived to Punta Arenas. When we arrived in Punta Arenas, we had to wait for the bus that would take us to Puerto Natales, our destination, BUT the bus had left while we were getting cookies haha, it was tragicomic, but we arrived. We stayed at our dear friend's place, we visited her house which was just meters away from the Estrecho de Magallanes and we ate a lot of calafate as well. my sister and me. the following days were exciting and also very improvised. I was injured so we could not climb the Torres del Paine, but we did visit around. one of the most beautiful places I visited was the grey glacier, it was very wind...
